Sup. As some members of the production team know, I have filed a bug report about mute-evading but I felt like I need to put some information here on how to easily block this and allow players to server out their intended mute. How it works: This works by a player executing a command known to all veteran server owners that does not come automatically blocked with essentials. The player executes one of the 2 commands: /minecraft:me <message> or /me <message> This simply bypasses sending a message, rather in the form of a command. In simpler terms, it tricks the system to think your not speaking in chat, just typing a normal command. How to fix this: I am not aware of the current plugin being used to support the mute command but it is easily fixed by using the permissions plugin. I only have knowlodge of PermissionsEX, so it will be explained in this form, but it is easy to apply for other permission plugins. Select default rank in server files. Find the folder for all accessible commands to the rank. Remove the ability to type the commands: /minecraft:me and /me That's it! I hope that this will be added and that this guide was helpful on how to do it! See you later!
